Our first longer ride took us to the coast, riding from Girona through Sant Andreu Salou, Caldes de Malavella and Llagostera to the small town of Tossa de Mar on the coast of the Mediterranean. It was a beautiful sunny day, with a bit of headwind from the coast.
We had a coffee break in Tossa and continued on the winding coastal road to Sant Feliu de Guixols for lunch. The road is one of the most beautiful and most fun to ride (up and down all the time) I’ve ever done.
From Sant Feliu de Guixols we took the road to Llagostera, followed by a wrong turn out of Laggostera adding some extra kilometers to our route. From Llagostera we continued home the same route we had arrived, summing up three good hills and 124 kilometers for the day.
Our route tracked on GPS with highest, fastest, slowest and lowest point of the route
The coastal mountains between Llagostera and Tossa de Mar gave great climbing and downhill riding
