Girona-Tossa de Mar-Sant Feliu de Guixols-Girona

Today we skipped the easy rides and did a 124 km hilly ride to the coast and back. The first 30 km to Llagostera was easy, but the 15 km to Tossa del Mar was first headwind and then uphill, followed by a looong downhill ride to the city and some icecream.

The road from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guixols is wonderful, winding up and down in the coastal hills. Watch the downhill video here. We had a light lunch, and I enjoyed splendid truffels as dessert. Heading back to Llagostera, we got the last real climbs. We took the wrong route out of the city and did 6 km on gravel roads to return where we started.

The legs worked fine, we seem to be in pretty reasonable shape all of us. Tomorrow an easy day to rest the body, though. Now for some good dinner…
