Weekend in Stockholm

Last weekend Ellie and I met in Stockholm. For most Helsinki people, Stockholm is a very familiar city due to the daily ferry connections, and I’m no exception in that. Still, every visit has some new positive surprises.

This time, we spent most of the time just walking around Södermalm, Norrmalm and Östermalm. We didn’t spend that much time in the tourist trap Gamla Stan. The touristy choice of the trip was to visit the Vasa museum, and that was really worth the visit. Here’s a few pictures from the days in Sweden.

I meet a beautiful new friend

…and Ellie and me find a giant red Pitbull Terrier!

The Vasa was a disastrous example of building big without experience and balance planning

…but the good side of the sinking was that it preserved a really beautiful ship for future generations
