Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Camii

Who said travel blogging is pointless? As I previously wrote, WordPress is at the moment blocked by the Turkish Government. I took the trouble to mail some blog posts to my sister in Finland, who published them for me.

Thanks to this, I got a last minute blog comment about a beautiful mosque planned by the great Sinan, that was a real must-see. I had skipped the Blue Mosque as to touristy, and was really happy to find this more peaceful, but incredibly impressive mosque nearby.

I couldn’t take many photos in respect of the guardian, who rather sold ready paper prints (which I also bought). Maybe these still give some insight to this great example of the genious Sinan’s 16th century work.
